What happens when Chinese Medicine Cures?

Have you ever been cured by a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine? What happens after the cure.

You have been cured. Your doctor cured you. but nobody cares. Cures are ignored.

There are no statistics for cures by Chinese medicine – because there are no statistics for cures in any medical practice. Cures are not tracked individually, so they can’t be tracked statistically.

Do traditional Chinese medical techniques cure? If you check google, you’ll find lots of Western medical references to Eastern medicine. You won’t find the word cure.  The word cure is generally avoided in conventional medicine. Cure is not defined in many medical dictionaries – and no conventional medical text contains any standard medical definition of cure.  Conventional medicine treats signs and symptoms of diseases. Cures are rarely discussed except for diseases caused by parasites or pathogens.

The BMJ Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health published a paper by T P Lam in 2001, that looked at the Strengths and weaknesses of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the eyes of some Hong Kong Chinese and documented the following observations:

“Chinese medicines are better in curing diseases completely, though they are slower.”

Taking Chinese medicines, the disease won’t be cured by one dose only. You have to take a few doses.

It takes time to cure the disease by Chinese medication. Chinese medication is better in its power to clear the root of the illness. Western medication is faster, but it is less powerful in clearing the illness.

What does conventional medicine say about these claims? Conventional medicine has no definition of cure and no Theory of Cure. Conventional medicine, without a medical definition of cure, has nothing to say. Western doctors are trained to diagnosed disease, but they are not trained to diagnose cured. When a Chinese medicine cures a disease – in most cases, cured cannot be observed, much less proven, much less disproven.

What kinds of diseases are cured by Traditional Chinese Medicine? WebMD says “Western medicine focuses mainly on treating disease. But TCM looks at your entire well-being.” Cancer Research UK reports “TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is a complex system. So it is very difficult for western doctors to test whether it works for treating or preventing cancer.

It’s worth noting that conventional western treatments are often generalized and the same treatment is used for many different patients once the diagnosis is completed. However, cures are individual. Every cure is a single case, not a treatment benefit. Cancer Research UK says  “As TCM is tailored to the patient, it can’t be tested by giving a group of patients the same medicine for a certain amount of time.”  This is the same for all diseases treated by Chinese medicine, not just cancer. Eg. If, or when Chinese medicine cures a disease, conventional medicine, with an approach limited to statistical, bureaucratic, science based medicine, has no technique to recognize or document the cure. Cures are ignored. They disappear. Patients who are cured are ignored. They disappear from the medical view.

This should not surprise us. The same is true of homeopathic cures, chiropractic cures, naturopathic cures, even natural cures or cures produced by the patient’s actions without a medical doctor. Conventional medicine has no test for cured for most diseases, makes no attempt to cure most diseases.

Cure is not medically defined. Cures are not medically defined. There is no medical test of cured for any non-infectious disease, from Alzheimer’s and arthritis to bloat, cancer, Chron’s, the common cold, COPD, all chronic diseases, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, fybromyalgia, gout, heart disease, hypertension, IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), influenza, jaundice, mumps, measles, and more, even scurvy has no cure in current medical treatment texts.

Today, there is no medical science of cure. As a result, if you are cured by a Chinese medicine, or conventional medicine, or any other medical technique – there is no way to prove cured. Cures are simply ignored.

The Elements of Cure defines cure, cures, curing and cured. It draws clear distinctions between remission and cure. In doing so, it also defines partial cure, temporary cure, and many other aspects of cure in a comprehensive logical structure. But, don’t ask your doctor about it. Doctors study diseases and treatments – but not cures.
