Were you ever been cured by a naturopath? Then what happened? The same happens after every cure. You’ve been cured. Your doctor cured you. Nobody else cares.
If you’re not familiar with naturopaths, or if you read Wikipedia, you might think they’re quacks who claim to cure every disease. But no. Most naturopaths don’t claim to cure any diseases at all. They avoid the word cure, claiming instead to treat diseases, just as conventional doctors claim.
What’s the difference? Naturopaths aim to treat diseases by improving the healthiness of the patient. No conventional doctor makes that claim.
Cured is not defined in naturopathy. The World Naturopathic Foundation White Paper: Naturopathic Philosophies, Principles, and Theories is a wide ranging description of naturopathic concepts and uses the word cure 46 times. But cure is never defined.
How does naturopathy survive? Why are there so many naturopaths, if they can’t cure and prove a cure? Why has conventional medicine failed to stamp out naturopathy?
Cured is not defined in conventional medicine either. Cures have steadily disappeared from conventional medicine for decades. There is no standard definition of cured in any conventional medical reference. Many medical dictionaries don’t contain an entry for the word cure. A naturopath, Henry Lindlah, suggested it is cheaper and more advantageous to prevent disease than to cure it. Conventional medicine seems to have taken this message to heart – there are treatments for every disease, but few cures. Debating the merits of naturopathy vs conventional medicine is a debate about treatments that cannot cure vs treatments that are not allowed to claim cured.
Anyone, any doctor or patient can claim a cure. Anyone can believe they are cured. Anyone can BE CURED. It makes no difference. Cured is not defined, so no proof can be found. Conventional medicine, and alternative medicine has no general Theory of Cure. Every cure can be denied. None can be proven nor disproven. Without a definition, there’s no medical difference between a cure and a placebo effect.
What happens after a naturopathic cure? The cure is ignored. Nobody cares if a naturopath, or a naturopathic treatment cures your disease. Nobody cares if a homeopath cures a disease. Nobody cares if a chiropractor cures anything. Naturopathy suggests that cures come from health. All cures do come from health. Nobody cares. Cured is not defined.
A cure addresses the present cause of an illness. An illness has been cured when the present cause has been addressed. Share on XThe science of cure is being created today. The Elements of Cure is an exploration of the elementary concepts of cure, building to a comprehensive view of cures for all diseases. It defines how to cure and how to know that a cure is present.
Cures are not difficult to understand, when we take the time to study cures over treatments, over preventatives, over placebos.
Let’s begin the study of cure.
