Putting CURE Back into Medicine

It’s time to put CURE back in medicine. Cure, the word cure has disappeared from modern medicine. Cure is not medically defined for most diseases, so most diseases cannot be cured, by lack of definition. It’s time for a change.

The new book: A Calculus of Curing, clearly defined ‘cure’ for every curable illness. Of course it’s not possible to define cure for an incurable illness.

Cures are accomplished by addressing the cause and healing the damage.

If the cause is gone, the illness is an injury, and only healing is required. Healing is seldom perfect, so perfect cures are rarer than unicorns.

When the cause is present, address the cause. There are only two types of causes of illness, process causes, or attribute causes. Both are cured when the cause is addressed.

Process causes create illness by the presence of absence of a process. Scurvy is caused by an absence of eating healthy foods, obesity by the presence of eating unhealthy foods. In all cases, the process must be changed for a cure. Few medicines can cure a process illness. These illnesses are cured by health, by healthy procedses.

Attribute causes create illness by their presence, which blocks healthy life processes. A hernia blocks physical activity. Cataract block vision. Unhealthy attitudes, unhealthy spirits, block healthy thoughts and activities. Attribute illnesses are cured by transformation. Few, if any medicines can cure an attribute illness. Most are cured by healthy transformation.

Chronic illnesses have chronic causes. They are cured by addressing the chronic nature of the cause. No medicine can cure a chronic illness. Chronic illnesses are cured by health.

There are no other illnesses, and no other cures.
