CURE Quote
But even in those early years, when the prospect of the first era of cure in the history of medicine seemed to be dawning, trouble was apparent. The trouble took the form of two weaknesses of the disease theory shared by medical science of the era. The first is the fundamental place held by the idea that each disease had one and only one cause. The second was the belief that all function (as in heart function) in the body, or elsewhere in nature, is founded on structure (as in the anatomy of the heart) and that changes in function therefore imply changes in structure. So that, for example, any change in the way the heart works must follow from a change in the heart’s anatomy, microscopic or otherwise. Both ideas, on which the theory of disease is based, have been undermined by the advance of medical science.

Cure Ignorance

A True Placebo has No Effect
Do clinical studies lie? A true placebo has no effect. Is the Gold Standard of medicine, the double blind placebo controlled trial, scientific nonsense, based on “fools gold“?
