You can only choose to wait, or to accept the treatments your doctor is allowed to use. This is a war on <strong>all cancer patients<\/strong> &#8211; not just generic cancer patients (which don&#8217;t usually die from their cancer). \u00a0But it does affect generic cancer patients as well. \u00a0Even if your cancer is not likely to kill you &#8211; you treatment choices are limited to those allowed by the so called &#8220;cancer war&#8221;.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>There is a war on cancer doctors<\/strong>, they are not allowed to offer, or recommend, a non-standard treatment, even one they would choose for themselves or their family. \u00a0They are not allowed to investigate alternatives. \u00a0They are not allowed to speak their mind. Oh, they are free to speak about politics, and religion, but not about medicine &#8211; not when doctoring a cancer patient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There is a war on cancer treatments.<\/strong> Many of them are illegal to make, to sell, and even illegal to give away. Information about them, their successes and failures is not published in medical journals.<\/p>\n<p>If the best, most effective, healthiest cancer treatment was discovered today, it is already illegal. \u00a0Does that sound ridiculous? \u00a0sorry&#8230; It&#8217;s perfectly true. <a href=\"http:\/\/personalhealthfreedom.blogspot.ca\/2011\/10\/wind-is-my-drug-defining-health-factors.html\">As soon as you claim, rightly or wrongly, that it cures any illness, it is classed as a drug.<\/a> \u00a0And as soon as it is classed as a drug, you can&#8217;t use it until someone applies for, and receives, approval. \u00a0You can&#8217;t even use it in a clinical study until someone applies for and receives approval.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">If the cure for cancer has already been discovered &#8211; you can&#8217;t buy it, or sell it. \u00a0You can&#8217;t manufacture it, advertise it, or even give it away. \u00a0Medical science is in agreement that chemo, radiation, and surgery do not cure cancer. \u00a0And medical science is in agreement that you, the cancer patient, are not allowed to make your own decisions, to buy your own treatment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you are selling a natural food, like <a href=\"http:\/\/dimensionalbliss.com\/2011\/03\/06\/forbidden-fruits-whatever-medicinal-foods-the-f-d-a-forbids\/\">bitter almonds or apricot seeds,<\/a> that contains chemicals used to treat cancer in some clinics &#8211; you are not allowed to state the cancer facts on the package, and if you do, your &#8216;food&#8217; will be banned and confiscated.<\/p>\n<p><i style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201c<\/i><strong>The war on cancer is a bunch of shit.<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201d \u2013 James Watson, discoverer of DNA, Nobe<\/span>l Laureate.<\/p>\n<p>President Nixon declared war on cancer in 1971.\u00a0 Statistics consistently show a steady growth in incidence, severity, and death from cancers since that date.\u00a0 How can this be true?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Sun Tzu,\u00a0author of <\/span><i style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The Art of War<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0said \u201c<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><i>There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many people have declared that the war on cancer is a failure, or a fraud. Few bother to ask what\u2019s really going on.\u00a0 Conspiracy theories abound. Cancer, it seems, fills us with hate.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleagainstcancer.com\/pdfs\/news\/20080916n2.pdf\">PeopleAgainstCancer.com<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> gives a list of reasons the war has failed \u2013 and continues to fail, from the failure of early detection, to failures of current treatments, and failures to find or recognize treatments that work.\u00a0 But they\u2019re missing the key point. We need to make peace with cancer. \u00a0We need to make peace with cancer patients, and other victims, like their family members. \u00a0We need to make peace with cancer doctors. \u00a0And we need to make peace with cancer treatments. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We need to make peace with health. Not war with cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Harold Varmus, former director of the NIH and current director of the NCI, held a town hall meeting in 2010 in which he outlined his priorities for improving the cancer research program, including the following:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 reforming the clinical trials system,<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 improving utilization of the NIH clinical center<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 readjusting the drug approval and regulation processes,<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 improving cancer treatment and prevention, and<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 formulating new, more specific and science-based questions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">He also missed the key point.\u00a0We need to make peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The site \u2018<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"http:\/\/tbyil.com\/waroncancer.htm\">The Best Years of Your Life<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">: articulates many statistical errors, or sins, committed by those who are fighting the war on cancer.\u00a0 But they also miss the point.\u00a0We need to make peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pnc.com.au\/~cafmr\/online\/research\/cancer.html\">In Cancer Research, a Super Fraud<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">, Robert Ryan, B.Sc. tells us that cancer is increasing and that cancer is preventable, but misses the important detail.\u00a0We need to make peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">There are two important truths about the so called &#8220;war on cancer&#8221;. Everyone who does the least bit of research will see the first \u2013 few notice the second. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"display: inline !important;\"><b>First: <\/b><b><b>There are no wartime statistics. Therefore:\u00a0<b>There is no war against cancer.<\/b><\/b><\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If there is a war against cancer, <strong>where are the wartime statistics<\/strong>? Oh, we have statistics about cancer deaths, but deaths don&#8217;t indicate a war. \u00a0Not alone, nor do survivor statistics. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Where are the friendly fire deaths? If there is truly a war, can there be a war without casualties by friendly fire? What is friendly fire in the war against cancer? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">How many people are killed by the war, not by cancer?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Where are the statistics about people killed by cancer treatment?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to Cancer.ORG, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.org\/acs\/groups\/content\/@epidemiologysurveilance\/documents\/document\/acspc-029771.pdf\">American Cancer Society statistics<\/a>, just over 570,000 Americans died from cancer in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>We know that chemotherapy is toxic.\u00a0 That it can kill patients. We know that surgery is dangerous \u2013 every surgery has a possibility of death.\u00a0 And we know that radiation causes cancer.<\/p>\n<p>How many cancer patients died from chemotherapy?\u00a0 There are no statistics. This post on <a href=\"http:\/\/greenmedinfo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">GreenMedInfo<\/a> illustrates the fact that chemotherapy and radiation kills many patients, but their deaths are counted as &#8216;cancer deaths&#8217;: <a href=\"http:\/\/tv.greenmedinfo.com\/the-shocking-history-of-chemo-as-a-cancer-drug\/\">The Shocking History of Chemo as a Cancer Drug.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How many cancer patients died from radiation?\u00a0 There are no statistics.<\/p>\n<p>How many cancer patients died from surgery?\u00a0 There are no statistics.<\/p>\n<p>Most important: How many people beat cancer? There are no statistics.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Where are the statistics? If there was a real war on cancer, we would have real statistics. The current statistics make it almost possible that all cancer deaths are caused by chemotherapy, or 50 percent, or 10 percent. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">We have no statistics that are useful for fighting, winning a war. We only have statistics designed to raise funds for &#8216;research&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Where are the statistics about cancer successes?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not difficult to find people who were diagnosed with cancer, who refused to take the recommended treatments of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, who decided on their own treatment \u2013 and their cancer has disappeared.<\/p>\n<p>Small studies have repeatedly demonstrated that people who simply refuse conventional treatments \u2013 live longer.<\/p>\n<p>Where do these people appear in the American Cancer Society statistics?\u00a0 They don\u2019t appear.\u00a0 They might be counted in the group of people who have survived for 5 years. But there are no statistics about different cancer treatments. And no statistics about cures.<\/p>\n<p>The American Cancer Society statistics don\u2019t recognize cures. \u00a0They don&#8217;t count cures. The American Cancer Society wants you to believe that no-one is cured, because cures hit their bottom line &#8211; fundraising.\u00a0They only recognize \u20185 year relative survival rates\u2019. If you do actually \u2018cure\u2019 your cancer \u2013 you will be dismissed by the cancer establishment as, at best, \u2018anecdotal evidence\u2019, or worse, a quack. Your story will not be counted, not published, not be investigated. \u00a0It&#8217;s official, according to the American Cancer Society, and the FDA, and Health Canada &#8211; &#8220;there is no evidence of a cure for cancer.&#8221; \u00a0Why is there no evidence? \u00a0Because no-one is keeping track.<\/p>\n<p>There are several well known cancer clinics, just across the border in Mexico. \u00a0There are medical records in the USA and Canada, of patients who were diagnosed with cancer, and no longer have cancer, after treatment with unconventional techniques. \u00a0I&#8217;m not saying these clinics cure every cancer, or even a large percentage. \u00a0I&#8217;m saying that they count. \u00a0We need to count them. There are many statistics about the success rates of chemotherapy, but even those are full of holes and funny statistics. Overall, the success rate of chemotherapy is so low that the American Cancer Society tell us that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.org\/acs\/groups\/content\/@epidemiologysurveilance\/documents\/document\/acspc-033876.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">survival rate for most types of cancer is less than 5 percent, with a high less than 50 percent. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>But records, and statistics, for patients who choose their own therapy, are nowhere to be found. \u00a0They do not appear in any official statistics. If there was a war against cancer, the statistics, all of the statistics would be recognized, and available for study.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"display: inline !important;\"><b>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><b>No one is fighting for peace.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If we truly have a war against cancer, where are the peacemakers? Working for peace is a difficult, complex task. \u00a0At present, there are no &#8216;peace workers&#8217; in the cancer war.<\/p>\n<p>Peacemakers?\u00a0 Well, cancer might not know there is a war, but let\u2019s be frank.\u00a0 Cancer is winning.\u00a0 It\u2019s time to make peace with cancer.\u00a0 The war is a failure.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it\u2019s no longer a war. It\u2019s become an occupation. The so called \u2018war against cancer\u2019, has become an occupation by the forces of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Many people are searching for \u2018better chemicals\u2019 to fight the war.\u00a0 But no-one is searching for peace.<\/p>\n<p>We need to make peace with cancer. Not war against cancer. \u00a0We \u00a0need to make peace with cancer patients, their families, their doctors. \u00a0We need to make peace with cancer treatments. Our cancer war is killing more people every year, it\u2019s clearly a failure.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">It\u2019s time to pursue peace. \u00a0\u201c<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><i>The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u2015\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Sun Tzu<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">,\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The Art of War<\/i><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">We often hear that we need to \u2018find cancer earlier\u2019. We know that finding cancers earlier leads to higher risk of misdiagnosis, higher risk of aggressive treatment when no treatment is required.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Earlier diagnosis should be used to enhance our ability to make peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Now don\u2019t get me wrong.\u00a0 There are people who advocate peace with cancer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">I\u2019m not talking about \u201c<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Making-Peace-Cancer-Franciscan-Journey\/dp\/0809140543\">Making Peace with Cancer: A Franciscan Journey<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201d a book that is, about making peace with terminal disease and death. That\u2019s a different kind of peace. \u00a0I&#8217;m with Dylan Thomas &#8211; although he was talking about old age, dying at a young age from a cancer deserves the same quote &#8220;Do not go gentle into that good night&#8230;.\u00a0Rage, rage against the dying of the light.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">I\u2019m with Dr. Isaac Goren DMQ (China) M.Ac. at the <a href=\"http:\/\/tao-house.com\/articles\/making-peace-with-cancer-versus-the-war-on-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tao House Healing Centre<\/a>, when he says \u201c<\/span>I am wondering if it is time we looked elsewhere.\u00a0 I am wondering if we should have a more holistic approach and sign a peace accord with cancer.\u00a0 It is time we stopped fighting the disease and started helping people to heal their body, their heart and their spirit in a way where the result is the disappearance of the disease altogether.<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Dr. Goren recognizes that cancer is not just a disease of the cells, clearly seeing it as a disease of the body and the spirit.\u00a0 In fact, cancer is a disease of the entire <a href=\"http:\/\/healthicine.org\/wordpress\/archives\/5\" target=\"_blank\">hierarchy of healthicine<\/a>, as we learned in the second post on <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"http:\/\/healthicine.org\/wordpress\/archives\/693\">Generic Cancer: Part 2: Is \u201cgeneric cancer\u201d a disease of the cells, or a disease of the tissues?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But Dr Goren, and people like him, are voices in the wilderness. Ignored by the medical establishment &#8211; or drowned out by the legal fury of commerce, if he dares to raise his voice too high.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">We need to learn to health cancer, not to kill it. We need early detection of cancer, so we have more time to learn how to health cancer. When we try to make the body too unhealthy for the cancer to survive \u2013 we often harm the patient more than the cancer. When we can make the body too healthy for cancer to survive, no war is necessary.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201c<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><i>Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy&#8217;s resistance without fighting<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u2015\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Sun Tzu<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">,\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The Art of War<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">When we war against cancer, we war against our bodies and our healthiness.\u00a0 We need to make peace with our health \u2013 we need to make peace with all of our health and our bodies, cancer included.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u201c<b><i>There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil, to one who is striking at the root<\/i><\/b>.\u201d\u00a0 Henry David Thoreau. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The root of generic cancer is unhealthiness.<\/strong> We need to strike cancer by striking unhealthiness, by creating and improving health. We need a more holistic approach to health, more than a holistic approach to cancer.\u00a0 We need a healthier approach to cancer, our sick war is killing too many innocents.<\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">We can refer again to \u2015\u00a0Sun Tzu,\u00a0again, from <i>The Art of War<\/i>\u00a0 \u201c<b><i>To win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.<\/i><\/b>\u201d Unfortunately, today, the enemy being subdued, without fighting, is the cancer patient.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">It&#8217;s time to make peace with cancer. \u00a0<strong>It&#8217;s time to make peace with cancer patients<\/strong>, and let them choose their treatments, and refuse treatments they don&#8217;t want. \u00a0<strong>It&#8217;s time to make peace with cancer doctors<\/strong> and let them speak, and practice their truths, not the truths that are &#8216;allowed&#8217; by the establishment. \u00a0And <strong>it&#8217;s time to make peace with cancer treatments<\/strong>. \u00a0If someone is dying from cancer, they have a right to information about all treatments, not just three. \u00a0They have a right to all information about treatment success and failures, not just the established three. \u00a0And they have the right to choose, and a right to buy the treatment they choose &#8211; which can only be assured if the seller is allowed to state the facts, and to sell the treatment. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Frankly, the current status of cancer treatments has progressed past the point of ridiculous. \u00a0We are at a point where someone who is diagnosed with a fatal cancer can legally buy a gun, and blow their head off, but they cannot legally buy cancer treatments. Whether the treatments will make them \u00a0better or worse makes no difference. And frankly- at present, no-one really knows if the treatment will make them better or worse, because the statistics are not gathered, not processed, not analyzed and not available.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"http:\/\/personalhealthfreedom.blogspot.com\/2010\/11\/universal-declaration-of-health-freedom.html\">Everyone has a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of healthiness.\u00a0<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0Everyone has \u00a0a right to information about their cancer, information about cancer treatments, their successes and failures. \u00a0Every cancer patient has a right to choose and to buy the treatment they choose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">To your health, tracy<br \/>\n<\/span><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Founder: Healthicine.org<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">This post is the fourth in a series about Generic Cancer.
