This blog is about HEALTHICINE, the Arts and Sciences of Health and Healthiness.<\/a>\u00a0The basic concept of healthicine is the study of health – as opposed to the studies of disease and medicines.\u00a0 We\u00a0don’t “lose” our health when we are sick. As long as we are alive, we have health and healthiness.\u00a0 When we are healthier, we get fewer colds, for example, and cure them faster. When we are less healthy, we get more colds and they take longer to cure. In the blindness of medical speak, however, there is no cure for the common cold. The concepts of healthicine are being explored and developed in this blog, so most recent posts are more current – as far as the theories of healthicine.\u00a0 I sometimes go back and update older posts that are more popular, to align them with new ideas.<\/p>\n

Exploring the concepts of Healthicine has led to the publication of several books, in descending order of publication:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Elements of Cure:<\/a>\u00a0Cure, unfortunately, is not defined in conventional medicine, nor in any altertative medical practice, for most diseases. As a result, most diseases can only be considered ‘incurable’.\u00a0 The book Elements of Cure is a short introduction to the basic concepts of cure, cures, curing and cured that can be applied to any illness.<\/p>\n

Cure:<\/a> The book Cure is an in-depth exploration of the concepts of cure. As I worked to revise the two initial Healthicine books, I realized that cure is not defined in medicine and got stuck.\u00a0 I spent several years researching the concepts of cure, leading to the publication of the book A Calculus of Curing, which was revised to create this publication.<\/p>\n

After about two years of blogging, I consolidated information from Healthicine posts on both sites, into a book, and later a second \u00a0introductory book about healthicine, both published in 2014.\u00a0 These books are a bit dated – always behind the concepts on my blog site and I am currently working on revisions. You can learn about healthicine bit by bit, by reviewing these blog posts, or purchase one of the books (links below) for a wider, deeper understanding of the concepts.<\/p>\n

I am currently working on a third book: The Calculus of Curing<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0A book that defines and explores the concepts of cures and curing. This book became necessary as I worked to update the book Introduction to Healthicine, when I realized that CURE is not defined for most diseases (which are also poorly defined) in conventional medicine.<\/p>\n
