CURE Quote
So also therapy in English includes the senses of tending to the sick as well as treating medically with the intent to cure, heal, or give care. This ambiguity in the word “therapy” is of particular importance, for a great proportion of the “therapeutic” activities of clinicians involve attending to the worried-well and performing non-curative activities, such as prescribing contraceptives, delivering babies, and controlling anxieties through drugs. Therapy means much more than curing and healing.
